New Delhi, Apr 8 Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant on Wednesday gave his best wishes to Supreme Court judge Rajesh Bindal, who will be demitting office on April 15.
The CJI was speaking at a felicitation event organised for Justice Bindal by the All India Senior Advocates Association.
He commended the outgoing judge for his hard work and legal acumen.
"I am quite sure that for Justice Bindal, there are several innings left after the completion of his professional innings.... My best wishes for Justice Bindal for a happy life, health and everything," the CJI said.
The association's secretary general and senior advocate, Adish C Aggarwala, said, "The function is being held in recognition of Justice Bindal's distinguished personality, reflecting wisdom, integrity, humility and an unwavering dedication to justice. His clarity of thought, balanced approach and compassionate outlook have earned him deep respect and admiration across the global legal fraternity."
Born in Haryana's Ambala in 1961, Justice Bindal was elevated as a Supreme Court judge on February 13, 2023.
