Sultanpur (UP), Jun 20 A hearing in a case related to the alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Amethi involving poet and former Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas and other AAP leaders was deferred on Saturday.
A special MP-MLA court in Sultanpur fixed June 22 as the next hearing date.
Senior advocate Rudra Pratap Singh said two cases involving Vishwas were listed before the court on June 20. In the first case, Vishwas, former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain and former AAP leader Somnath Bharti are accused.
He said summons could not be served on any of the accused except Jain, and the court adjourned the matter.
The special MP-MLA court in Sultanpur is hearing the matter.
In another case involving Vishwas, in which former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is also an accused, the MP-MLA court fixed July 24 as the next date of hearing.
