During the proceedings, the Investigating Officer, Sri. Sasidharan S., presented a progress report detailing the ongoing investigation under CB PS Cr. Nos. 3700 and 3701 of 2025. The Court expressed satisfaction with the progress but acknowledged the complexity and sensitivity of the case, necessitating further time for a comprehensive probe.
The Court noted that the forensic analysis of samples collected is pending, and the investigation into transactions from 2014 to 2025, particularly those concerning gold plating activities in Chennai, is still in its early stages. Given the intricate nature and extensive timeline of these transactions, the Court deemed the request for additional time by the SIT as justified.
Emphasizing the importance of meticulous investigation, the Court directed the SIT to leave no aspect unexamined and to report any new findings promptly.
