New Delhi, May 13 The Rohini Court Bar Association organised a badminton tournament for its members and lawyers in a bid to reinforce trust, cooperation and goodwill among institutions connected with the administration of justice.
The event, which was organised on Tuesday at the Rohini Courts complex, was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge Nisha Sahai Saxena along with other judges.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Northern Range) Vijay Singh and Rohini DCP Shashank Jaiswal were present as special guests.
According to the organisers, the tournament was conceived as an initiative to strengthen cordial relations among the bar, the bench and the police administration, all of whom are key stakeholders in the justice delivery system. It also aimed to promote fitness, sportsmanship and camaraderie within the legal fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Tehlan, president of the Rohini Court Bar Association, said sports had a unique ability to build bridges and foster stronger professional relationships beyond formal interactions.
Additionally, honorary secretary Pardeep Khatri said such initiatives would further reinforce trust, cooperation and goodwill among institutions connected with the administration of justice.
