The court's decision was influenced by a police report confirming the examination schedule and the authenticity of the daughter's admit card. The report also highlighted the absence of any adverse findings against Patra, except the current case.
In its order, the High Court directed the Sessions Judge of Jagatsinghpur to release Patra on interim bail until March 10, 2026, subject to terms and conditions deemed appropriate by the trial court. The court emphasized that any violation of these conditions would result in the cancellation of the interim bail. Patra is required to surrender immediately after the specified date and file a surrender certificate.
